1. Where & how did you get engaged?

It was so magical! John took me for a day trip to this beautiful Sandy beach I’d never seen before. We were at Brancaster beach, and he totally surprised with Prosecco, nibbles and the most perfect ring!

2. Describe your wedding venue and why you chose it?

It was this sweet cliff top B&B with an attached private apartment on the rocky edge of Cornwall in Porthleven. The views were absolutely breathe taking, very private, within budget and run by the loveliest people-Samantha and Joel.

3. What was your favourite memory from the day?
Oh gosh there's so many to choose from, my favourite part had to be fleeing along the coast in my beautiful dress, with the wind in my hair and not a care in the world with my gorgeous husband in arm. Followed by a special delicious post wedding dinner made to order.

4. How did you know Rebecca Ingram ‘Hattie’ was the one?
I knew I wanted a strapless fitted wedding gown and this one completely stood out to me from the rest, with a beach feel for my seaside elopement. I had actually seen this one of Brides by Solo's website before I came, so already had my eye on it.

5. What made you choose to have an intimate ceremony over a big wedding?

We decided on an intimate ceremony more for the fact of Covid number restrictions and our impatience of waiting to marry each other - which made me search for smaller options. Our favourite vacations were long weekends to seaside retreats, so we formed the perfect compromise; with a big party for family and friends to follow separately once it’s safe.

6. Tell us about your bridal shopping experience, did you enjoy it?
I had no clue what to expect when I started my wedding dress shopping and was happily surprised at how nice and patient Grace and Sadie were throughout my time in the boutique. I felt totally comfortable and loved being able to try the dresses on with my daughters helping me choose.

7. How did you find the alterations process having them done in such a short turn around?
Sarah did an amazing job in getting my dress altered in such a short amount of time! There were no worries or hassle at all, and the dress fit was flattering in all the right places.

8. Any tips for future brides getting married on a short turn around?
If I had to give any advice for future brides it would be to go for your dream, tweak it as you go and if anything doesn’t feel right or doesn't go as expected, don’t panic it will all work out perfectly and just in time. I ended up doing my own hair and make-up for the day because it felt the right fit for our relaxed themed wedding. We ended with no regrets and the perfect day.
